This is probably been asked on another thread... But cant find it!! :roll
Today on the Immigration web site our status has changed from EOI selected to Decision Successful...
Any ideas what this means? What happens now? How long to the next stage?
We already have our medicals booked for next week and have requested our police checks... should we be doing anything else?
We are going for PR (I have job offer secured) will we need an interview?

Usually if you have a job offer - you will be assigned a case officer pretty quickly and your ITA should arrive in the post pretty fast.
We had all the paperwork sorted so we could virtually turn the ITA around very quickly. make sure you have all references you need, proof of work experience, qualifications and so on, everythng to back up what you ahve said in your EOI.
You don't usually have to have an interview if you have a job offer (we didn't have an interview!)
Another tip - if you are planning to try and stretch out the time you need to get sorted and leave, DON'T send in your passports with the ITA send certified copies (only need the page with your photograph not the whole passport!) that way you will have 6 months from the date your application is approved in principal to send in your passports and migrant levy, and 12 months from the date the blue stickers are entered in your passport to activate your visa. This way you can extend your time to 18 months!
Good luck! :nice1

AN ITA is an Invitation to Apply (for residence) that is issued by NZIS once they have accepted your EOI (Expression of Interest).

Hello,
when you return your ITA there is a fee of 500 something GBP. If accepted, before they issue blue stickers you have to pay migrant levy 105 GBP per person listed on the application ( children too ) up to a maximum of 420 GBP per application. you can pay after your ITA is accepted or send in payment authorisation with your ITA.
Just paid it recently! the maximum!

They have reduced the levy too since about July this year i think - we sent in our cheque with the passports for £480 and got a refund of £60 - that must be a first - a price reduction for once!! :nice1

Hi dangermouse (great choice of name by the way) :nice1
We were told by NZIS at the Expo on Friday that if you have a job offer and nothing shows up on your medical you can expect to be assigned a case officer and be granted PR within 2-4 months .
I hope everything goes smoothly for you.
