Well, I can't tell you how hard it's been to sit on this news whilst we got everything sorted out, but, WE ARE FLYING ON NOV 18th from Heathrow :raebanana:raebanana We exchanged contracts on the house on Tuesday and today signed the bank/solicitors/companies house etc for sorting out our business, so, yes, we have champagne on ice! :raebanana:raebanana
Staying at the Howick Motor Lodge at first, using John Masons for shipping and am sooooo excited/stressed it's unbelieveable!!
Anyway, can't wait to be at the next Auckland meet,
Lots of love to all of you who've helped us through all of this,
Gil (and Steve a.k.a Cardiff Irons) and family

Just to enlighten you all, I had an MSN message from Steve that said "Hiya Gil" I assumed (yes, Willsken, ass out of u and me) that it was MY Steve (Cardiff Irons) as he was away at his brother's for the weekend, so I replied "Hello gorgeous" and as I pressed "send" noticed a rather different email address.....belonging to one Stevie D....:o
Any way, thanks for your good wishes guys, and good luck with the interest Steve and Jan,

Marcia,
We did exactly the same and said "sod it, we're going anyway" Not long after we'd booked the flights, we had a viewing followed by an offer....far too low, so negotiations ensured and we ended up accpeting just before going on holiday in August!
Got to go, dinner beckons...

Thanks all for your good wishes. I can't particularly recommend the "developing patience exercise", but now it's done, it's such a relief!! Those who know me are amazed I kept my gob shut for so long....that's why I haven't been on the forum so much (as well as working away a fair bit); I just thought I migh inadvertently comment on something and give the game away!
A week tomorrow, our lovely dog Macy is going to her new owners, so tissues at the ready :wah. I'm dreading it, but it'll be the first real action to take, apart from selling the house!
Anyway, must knuckle down to some work now,
Gil

Sorry Nanny, I wasn't ignoring you, just didn't remember to answer in the midst of all the excitement! We are planning on Howick, but will reserve judgement until we have a really good look around. Schools are really important for us as 3 of ours are still school age, high school, intermediate and primary, and we also need to be able to get to CBD reasonably easily.
Any other ideas?
Gil
