We are having a small crate delivered to NZ and the carrier has asked us to supply a contact number for when we arrive. Trouble is we cant really apart from my UK mobile number (pay as you go)...

Anyway my question is if I put my UK mobile number on as a contact number do I have to put the +44 and drop the 0 if you want to dial the number from within NZ?

Many Thanks

Dan

I would quote the +44 (drop the 0 at beginning of your no) as the number, even if they dont need it the call will still get through.

Yeah, drop the 0.

With number transportability it is possible to have your number follow you on uk networks, but not sure on worldwide networks. I think it is still possible if you want to do that.
So when you do get to nz, ask the company you choose for your mobile service about having your old number - it is probably ok. May even be possible to check the mobile providers and see if there is anything about it on there.
