Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say hello. I've been reading around the forum for awhile now and what an abundant amount of information. I have really enjoyed reading about you reaching your goals of EOI selection, PR status, moving to NZ etc. Seems everyone has such a unique story to tell and there is such a great show of respect and support! I'm glad to have come across this forum...

On another note, I was wondering if any of you were selected on 2 Aug 06? We were selected with 130 points/w/out a job offer for work experience in skills shortgage area (OH is a secondary teacher for over 12 years) but we are still awaiting decision successful. I know that those w/out job offers from the 19 July 06 have been contacted so hopefully any day now. My fingers are crossed very tightly and close to falling off. :o

I know we were selected on the 19th July, contacted last week by a Craig Pontifex about some of my work experience yet we are still waiting on Decision Successful, was selected about 13 weeks ago now!!

So fingers crossed, you'll probably hear something within 3 months though.

Just wanted to say welcome - I fell off my chair when we were selected - it was such a shock (we had only put our EOI in the day before!)

BTW is that your surname - not being rude but hasn't the little one eyed monster - Mikey in monsters inc got the same name??

:laugh LOL- I think, and I should know this because our kids love that movie, his name is Mike Kowolski....not sure though and perhaps there is a Monsters Inc expert on this forum that could help us out??

We also were selected in the 02 August pool (140 points w/o job offer) and haven't heard anything. I have to look back and laugh at how many times we have reset out expectations - 3 weeks, 2 months, last week... Thursday will be 3 months so hopefully this week?

My near term dilemma is that I have my annual physical scheduled for Tuesday - so do I plan for the best and have the required blood work and xrays?

And a belated thanks to everyone in the forum. We've learned a lot and I think we would have lost it some time ago if we didn't see others going through the same challenges.
