Actually, we bought a lifestyle block with 4 acres :D

We move in on 24th November and we can't wait. It's about 20 mins south of Palmy and about 10 mins from Himitangi Beach. The house needs a little work and the land needs lots of TLC, but we're up to the challenge.
We're going to set the triangle bit back to natural bush, with paths and trees and hidden little area with benches. ANd no, we won't be having any sheep, or pigs, or cows!!
We're having an absolute ball and loving NZ more and more each day. Hubby is incredibly happy to be home and I wish we'd done this the first time he asked, about 10 years ago!!
The job is going well and the kids are having a great time. The school is excellent and they're both getting on really well. I'm finding the school here is a lot more communicative than the schools they went to in the UK.
If you'd like to see more pics of the house or pics of our trips, check out our photo gallery (http://www.flyingkiwis.co.nz/photo.htm)

Good to hear you are settling and enjoying it after all your worrying...
There is plenty of room to lose a child or two for an afternoon, hmm, maybe we should visit, put AJ up on his push along walker truck, and we can sit back for a bit of a rest!

Thanks for all your replies guys, we're settling in very well and we're really loving it. It feels like years ago since we lived in the UK but we've only just had our 3 month anniversary of being here. Maybe it's because we've done so much since we've been here.
I know one thing for sure, NZ changes you - well, it changed me anyhow! I'm training for a triathlon, I cook (properly, not just prepacked stuff) every night and sometimes I bake!! I'm turning into a cross between Nigella Lawson and Daley Thompson! I hated cooking and exercising when I was in the UK, NZ seems to have given me a new lease of life and I'm grabbing it.
Anyone that wants to pop in whilst they're touring, just let me know and we'll put the kettle on :D If anyone is driving down highway one, between Bulls and Levin, we're only 2 mins from the Himitangi turning (once we move of course:))
Alll in all, I have to say, this is the best thing we've ever done, it's benefiting all of us and as a family, we've never been stronger or happier. (Wow, i'd better stop now before I get too slushy!)

Well, next time you're passing through, stop by for a cup of tea, I'll pm you our new phone number once we move.
Thanks for the offer of lending your trailer, we've been very lazy and got a removal firm in, I just can't do it all again! I''m not going to have tim to pack either, work are sending me to India for 5 days just before we move! Nice timing.
