Hi

Does anyone know if you can get hold of marmite in NZ we are hoping to be over there by mid 05 and my 10 year old is addicted to the stuff!!

We gave vegemite a try when on hols last year but she was sadly unimpressed!!!

Someone asked about this a while ago on here, and from memory I believe you can get marmite in NZ, but it's called 'ourmate'. They have marmite too but it tastes different to the stuff you get here.

woolworths supermarket sell it and yes its in the same shape jar and called our mate, but only in a small size. You can bring it over with you too so wouldn't hurt to bring a couple of the massive jars with you and a few more in the container.

Sophie is right. What the Kiwi's call Marmite is nothing like the stuff you get here in the UK. However, the UK version is manufactured under the name of 'Our Mate' in NZ.
