Hi all,
In the context of applying for a student visa, I have to prove that I have sufficient funds to support myself ($10000 per year).
The Operations Manual says that bank statements in the student's name are acceptable evidence, but it's not clear whether these have to be from an NZ account or not.
The return ticket waiver for outbound travel does however state that funds have to based in NZ.
Either way is fine, but given the choice I'd rather keep my money in the UK for a bit (savings offset against mortgage and hoping that the exchange rate will improve!).
I'm going to ask this of NZIS, but in my experience your answers are probably more reliable ;) so any advice would be much appreciated.
