I can't believe it, I just popped into our local supermarket and thought I'd get some Christmas wrapping paper so I can send pressies back to UK in good time, Couldn't find any so I asked an assistant who, after a hunt round, told me 'it's probably too early'!! I bet they've had all the Christmas stuff out since September in back in Blighty!

Quite refreshing - he's right - it is too early.

Now THAT is nice to hear! I really wish they'd wait to put out Christmas stuff in the stores until after Halloween. (I used to say "after Thanksgiving" but I don't think there's any hope of that any more.)

Christmas has hit Dunners.

Wow, I'm surprised Christmas hasn't hit Auckland. I was in the Warehouse the other day and experienced holiday overlaod. You go through Halloween, Christmas, and Guy Fawkes fireworks all in 2 aisles. The grocery stores are all stocked with Christmas cards, wrapping paper, and even fruit cakes!

Kirkaldie and Staines Christmas shop has been open a few weeks now, and I went to the Westfield MAll in lower hut and they have decorations up.

Other than that - all quiet round here so far!

Christmas has been here for a couple months. :( It did enable me to buy wrapping paper to wrap the presents I sent to NZ, though! (Got them sent out today, just in time to arrive by Christmas) HoHoHo...

Too true! I can't remember which shop, possibly M&S, but some one had their Christmas stuff out after the summer sales in August!!!!! August!

I also had trouble getting wrapping paper a couple of weeks back - none in the supermarkets round here so I ended up going to a local newsagents in Whitby & the Warehouse. I love the fact that they leave everything until later - that way you don't feel fed up with Xmas when it finally arrives!
