I rang GA today to finalise Pepper's booking and they have said I need a NZ contact number :confused: I don't have one. They said NZ Air have to be able to contact someone in NZ to confirm someone will be there to pick her up. I will be of course, we are arriving at the end of December and she isn't flying until the 10th of Jan. Is there anyone who would be willing to act as my contact? Pretty please :D Don't know another way round this. Anyone else had this problem flying pets?

Obviously I can't offer an NZ number (or I would), but it does seem strange that they can't wait to be advised on your contact details when you get there :confused: Hope it works out well,

Hi Nicola,
We booked GA last week for our dog and they've also asked us for an NZ contact number. We are giving them the office number where Steve will be working and also our mobile phone numbers as we are keeping them (pay as you go) for now. I realise this will be costly but i'll just top them up before we go and use them till we are sorted.
BTW i think it's to do with customs why they need contact details.

I asked if a mobile would be OK and he said if it was a UK one it wouldn't be! :roll
Honestly, as if we would pay all that money to ship the girl all the way there, just to not bother collecting her at the other end! :wah
