I spoke to Westpac tonight about setting up our account. They could not have been more helpful. Obviously we'll have to wait and see how things go once we're there but definitely the right start!
I also spoke to the IRD tonight who were equally lovely and helpful :)

I'm with Westpac and have had no trouble with them whatsoever in six years so thats saying somthing.

I use Westpac too - my old boss is now head of customer service there, so I'll let her know that you were pleased. She loves getting anecdotal evidence.

please do - i rang their migrant banking team using the uk toll free number. it was a really nice introduction to the bank.

Ive had to speak to the IRD way too many times - and they are always great at helping you out and explaining things!
Its not often you can say that :laugh

She was PMO Manager at my last company and was poached by Westpac to head up their Call Centres as Customer Services Manager. I missed working for her - a real leader, rather than just a manager.
