An extremely important question ...... can you get football on NZ TV. If not I am in dead trouble. I hate rugby!

Sky show 2 or 3 games on a Saturday Night/Sunday morning and a another on Monday morning, plus the European games during the week. They show the Internationals as well.

We've got MySky (NZ equiv. of Sky+) so I if I can't be bothered to stay up/get up in the early hours to watch them, I watch them the following morning (kids and wife permitting).

All the listing are on http://skytv.co.nz if you want to check out what's on.

Pardon for being American, but are you asking about American football or soccer/football?

Phew, what a relief. I'll still be able to watch England being humiliated at football - (the soccer variety). Thanks for all the info.

There is only one form of Football and that is the British version of it, ok i admit that most other Nation's now play it better than us but who cares, we should just take our ball and go home with it. And we do forgive you for being American and asking a silly question most of us get the same sort of questions from our wife's!!

Well....does anyone know if you can get American football in NZ? I know it would be a complete fantasy for Husband to be able to watch his beloved Maryland Terrapins in college games, but I wonder if the NFL is available...?

Also, what about college basketball?

Hi Beth

Well, if it's here it will be on Sky. Check out the link for sky that my OH (Bailers) left further up this thread. And ignore the Brits who think there is only one type of football in the world - they're obsessed (*ducks and runs for cover*) :laugh . I grew up in NZ calling rugby 'footie' and soccer 'soccer' (this is what the Brits refer to as 'Football'). Hope this clears it all up for you :nice1 .
