We had to have medicals for our visa application. Just make sure you are well organised because some places you have to book way in advance. We went to a private clinic in the end and it cost around £500. They do a number of different tests, from blood to urine. Basically they check everything. If they do find something out of the ordinary but the doctor does not think it is significant, he will say so on the forms. Otherwise you may have to get further proof that everything is now OK. Good Luck

I didn't experience pre medicals. If you are worried about specific things can't you go and see your own GP? The medical forms you download and print off the immigration site (I think) make it quite clear exactly what they are looking for. Your GP should be able to tell you if you are likely to have any problems.... just be sure to book that double appointment!! :roll
