At last we have our nice blue stickers in our passports saying PR!
The blue sticker for the 3 yrs wk visa was fine, but this is just more final now!
We had our container delivered the other week by Pickfords, boxes still everywhere, but not opening many as we are still in a rented house.
We hope that our house sale is nearly completed in the UK! Keeping our fingers crossed that we will be exchanging by next Monday.
I have been offered a part time job with Menzies, working as a passenger service agent up at Auckland Airport.Money is not very good, but after awhile it does get better.Problem is by the time u pay for child care before and after school and hols it's hardly worth the trouble! Anyone have any feedback about them as a Company, or know of anyone that wks for them?
We have also seen a house that we like, but just trying to block that out of my mind till we know for definate that ours is sold! it has 2.5 acres of land and gorgeous views! (keeping fingers crossed that it works out!)
Mum and Dad are booked to come to NZ in Feb for 5 weeks, which we are all looking forward to. They will be our first visitors, already dreading them leaving and saying good-bye!
Otherwise enjoying life, busy running the girls around after school to riding and swimming three times a week, and Bronnie (dog) thinks it's great over here!
So all in all after nearly 3 months of being here in NZ things are going well!

Cool you got the pr sorted, thats a big weight off your minds.

You sound like you are enjoying yourselves. I'd be tempted to give the work thing a go for a trial of say a month or two, and see how things work out, if you end up out of pocket and not enjoying the job, then you can move on. On the other hand, you may be just ok financially, but love the job and your workmates, and decide to stay!

It must be very hard not to buy a house until yours has definitely sold, but you just need to be patient, it sounds as if something is happening anyway..

Thanks Sal.
Yes I always have the option of moving on if the job does n't work out or too many week-end shifts!
We keep saying that we moved over here for the better lifestyle, but u still have to earn the money to enjoy yourselves!

Thanks for all the good wishes and replies.
It's amazing how things do eventually come together, even though at the time you feel it's along way off!
Just seems like yesterday that we were over in June on our reccy trip with nothing arranged at that time for moving here! and now 5 months down the road we seem to be nearly there, have the PR,nearly have the house sold in the UK and then we can make our roots here.
So for you all just starting the process it can be done, lots to organise and certainly not cheap! but you only live once, and so many people have said to us that they wished that they had/could do it too, so go for it, if it does n't work out you can always go back!!
