I've read that EOIs still in the pool will in many situations have to apply to have their points modified after Dec. 13th, to reflect the new Enhancements, but I've still not seen the following situation addressed anywhere (sorry if I'm wrong).

What happens if your EOI has already been selected from the pool, but your case is not likely to be considered until after Dec. 13th? Will any new Enhancement-related benefits to your case automatically be taken into account if looked at after that date?

I can see that those already selected but looked at before Dec. 13th is another thing altogether... but if your case isn't looked at until after the 13th will the case officer automatically take any benefits into account? Or does the applicant need to get in touch somehow, proactively?

(Ours wouldn't be automatically adjusted on absolute-shortage basis, but we're still eligible for extra points on Future Growth basis.)

Thanks,
Matt.

Okey-dokey, I called Auckland Call Center. The lady I spoke with on the EOI help line said that there is probably little point faxing/writing to have your points bumped up once EOI is selected, because youre already, er, selected.
She said it was up to the applicant - and that adjustments would likely not be made even after Dec 13th without applicant efforts - but my over-riding impression from her was that trying to bump up EOI points once EOI has been selected is probably not worth the effort.

That was my take on what she said, remember: hope I got her meaning right.

Matt.
