Well what a week, after having the house on the market since May quite a lot of viewers, two lots of estate agents, 3 price reductions but no offers up until now, we get two offers in the same week!!!!!!!!!
The first offer which we have accepted were the couple who were the very first viewers of the house. But they had said at the time it was too expensive.
The second offer which has just come in was an insult in my opinion, and i think the people who have put it in thought we would be desparate and accept anything, the woman helps in Ayrtons school, so they probably knew our departure was Monday, (they actually live at the back of our house, and when they came to view knew we had changed the colour in the dining room from green :exit , - gives me the creeps the net curtains have been down in there ever since!!!) the estate agents rang several times after their visit and they would never give feedback, the lady who has taken the offer this morning tried to find out what position they were in, did they have a house to sell were they in a chain etc, and they were very vague??????!!!! So tough!!!!
Anyway the offer is far too low, we are sticking with the first people, who want to try and complete in six weeks.
Next item, NTL, they have disconnected the phone line, but I'm on the internet as you can see so the broadband hasn't yet gone!! We are being a bit naughty, Kev has taken the cable box down to dads to see if they collect it, and if they arrive he is asking dad to send them up here for the broadband box, why disconnect if i don't need to!! I also had another thought when I was wide awake in the middle of the night, I hadn't actually cancelled the direct debit for NTL knowing there would be a part month and calls up to today to pay for, however i decided to cancel it this morning, easier to argue the toss if they try to over charge and we have to pay by cheque than it would be if they took the money out and we were fighting to get a refund!
So I may not get chance to post much more this weekend, we are going out tonight for a meal with friends, 2 big kids off with my sister and brother in law for the day and a sleepover, Emerson sleeping in his 'nest' at grandmas tonight, then tomorrrow and Sunday we are staying with my mum and dad - may get chance to nick dads computer for a quick log on, and if i get chance on the plane with singapore air I'll post - just to say I've done it :laugh
