I've been working very hard to attempt to learn as much about the NZ education system that I can. I found the site above and it gives a good description of what each level in the NZ National Qualification Framework expects.
http://www.kiwiquals.govt.nz/about/levels/index.html
And this level groups the qualification levels in ways that I am curious about. I have several questions about this...
1. Are levels 1-4 assessed in the secondary schools?
2. Where are 5-6 levels assessed?
3. Are levels 7-10 assessed at the tertiary level?
And the biggest question of all is how are these levels assessed? Is there a national test for each level or is it accomplished by earning a number of credits?
Any help that you can give me on this would be wonderful. It is my hope to teach in NZ and I would like to understand as much about how this system works as possible before I even attempt to apply for a job.
Thanks in advance...
