As much as I hate having to jeopardise my intergraty I have to ask this question on behalf of my 18month old son, no really he did ask.
How much would Mcdonalds be in NZ?
no I dont want a franchise just the priice of a big mac or even a whopper
this is because I have developed a model, I have yet to present it to the London School of economics.
That the price of Macdonalds fom country to country is indicatitive of the social environment and the ability of the currency in comparrison to your own. A gauge therefore that you could establish the range of your hourly income and how many big macs you could theortically buy with it. The more clsoer the figure to your own would represent a more or less what you are used to.
get my drift.
so if anyone can help with this research I would be eternally grateful.
and I have a large fries to go with that
regards

The Big Mac Index (http://www.economist.com/markets/Bigmac/Index.cfm) has been around for a while.

I have checked out the Big Mac index and it doesn't :no have new zealand.
I like the sound of your theory though let me know how you get on.
You must watch supersize me, also let your, no FORCE your 18month old to watch it. Scarey. Thanfully my kids know it's bad for you as I have drummed it in from an early age, explaining how advertisers drag you in and entice you with nice things like toys to eat their rubbish food. Even my 9 year old was disgusted at a toy cooker sold in Argos which have the golden arches emlazoned on it, she said ' Mum thats disgusting when these young kids play with this all they will associate with cooking is McDonalds.
she was so mad she even wanted to write a letter in protest. :nice1
I think she may be the next NZ prime minister :hopeso
Good Luck if my memory serves me right 2 and 1/2 years ago a happy meal was $1.99

The link I just posted lists New Zealand, it's nestled in there between Mexico and Peru in the left column. They show a "Big Mac" price of $2.65 in NZ versus a British price of $3.37, both in US dollars. Of course set meals and the like are probably a better "value" (if you pay money for something that is garbage, is it still a value?) but it looks like NZ McDonalds will cost roughly 80% of what it does in Britain.
And yes you should watch "Super Size Me" and if you can find it read Fast Food Nation.

Cheers Guys
while on the one hand being deflated that 4 years of theory and taste tests was worthless and has already been created and with a jazzy tittle. The other hand brings joy that Big macs are cheaper in NZ.
Now I just got to find them.
Though Iam developing a new model now with baked beans,
Cheers

...I am developing a new model now with baked beans...
Does it involve the harnessing of methane for energy production?

Thats an angle I'd rather not explore, I can see no viable taste test outcomes from that stem of research.
