I came home from work yesterday to find a letter from the teachers council of NZ saying i was now registered with them, something i have been waiting for with baited breath for the last 6 weeks - then i received an e mail today saying a school i had applied to wanted to interview me via telephone tonight (tues.)

The phone call came around 9 this evening and at about quarter past i had been offered the job as an English teacher!!. :raebanana I am soooo pleased, i start in Feb 07 giving us plenty of time to settle in and to celebrate whey hey :cheers
just realised we only have typhoo to celebrate with at the mo. oh well i suppose i could have a chocolate digestive with it or five :D

Sal - school is in Papakura. It's papakura high school. Not the best of areas or school I know but I like the sound of it and have worked in my fair share of challenging schools/areas in the UK and am up for the challenge.

Thanks for your kind words you pair.

Well done :clap

contratulation from hubby and me.
I'm in education at the moment working as Operations Manager for a city learning centre and would love the opportunity to find out what the education system is like in NZ I've heard it is really good (got to be better than ours) You'll have to keep me informed of what it's like.
