I am sitting a couple of exams for Apple Computer certification next week which I hope I shall pass! I have been holding off submitting my EOI until I know the outcome of them as I would think I would be able to put them on my EOI as trade qualifications along with my academic qualifications.
Does anyone know how I would put these on the EOI? I sat a three and a four day course to sit these exams and I can't see any relevant section that they would fit into. Thanks for any advice.

i'm not really sure what category that would fit into. my guess (and it is only a guess) is that its probably not sufficient to gain any extra points as they are normally awarded for longer courses that that. do you already have points for academic qualifications? the relevant qualifications for "skills shortage" points are in Appendix 6 of the operations manual on the NZIS website.

Hi Gazzafield, welcome to the forum and pleased to meet a fellow Apple techie :)
I held the Apple Desktop Engineer qualification at one point, but let it lapse - that's probably another reason why it wouldn't count for immigration - you have to be recertified each year.
I agree with Trigirl - they constitute professional training rather than trade qualifications, if you see what I mean, so don't fit on the Skilled Migrant application. However they may come in useful for getting a job.
Good luck with the exams and your application though!
