Completed NZ nursing Council Forms 31st jan Took about a month to collect all the information needed.

14th April recieved NZ qualifications verified

27th April put the house on the market

4th May got my NZ registration and practice certificate through

18th June daughter moves out deciding not to go to NZ now living with her boyfriend

12 July apply for job at Hawkes Bay

17th July changed estate agent

8th August interview and offered the job

21st job offer in writing

4th Sept submitted EOI

6th Sept applied for police check

15th Sept EOI selected

28th Sept Invitation to apply for residency

30th Sept got residency pack

7th Oct got police check back

16th Oct had my NZ medical

27th Oct offer on the house

28th Oct medical back and no problems

4th Nov house sale fell through

6th Nov house sale now going ahead

11th Nov submitted my invitation to apply in person at NZ house

14th Nov house sale fell through the buyers had lied and made out they had nothing to sell but turned out they were selling a shop which their buyers pulled out of.

16th Nov Tel call from case worker at NZ house Approval in Principal. yipee. Case worker said that it may take up to 4 weeks to get my passport back.

Thought my diary may give people an idea of how long things have taken. The house is the only thing that is stopping me from going.

You and me both mate, why is it that evreybody else has sold stuck on their boards. I dream of just an offer.

It will happen eventually.

Hi Blue,
good post and sort of lets people know timescales and stuff in proper terms of not just eoi to pr.
I think for most of us selling house this info is great because it reaaly puts into perspective that on some ocasions it isn't a waiting game from NZIS poit of view

Thanks for that Blue - very interesting.

I agree with everyone about the house sales - what a nightmare! Ours hasn't had any offers yet and we keep on being told the market is very quiet - we don't have to sell in order to go but it would be a huge weight off! :hopeso

I'm panicking now - we go in 6 weeks & I'm waiting for our results from our Medical which I should get in a week - its going to be very touch & go whether we get PR before we leave! Eeek! :eek

Hi everyone, got something else to add! got another offer on the house today. which is for a lot more than the one that fell through and there is no chain. Still havnt recieved my passport etc yet though just keeping everything crossed that this time the sale goes through ok.
