Hello Everyone

Anyone out there flown with Royal Brunei Airlines? I am a nervous flyer and I am go out to Hamilton on the 6th Feb to suprise my Brother for his 40th

Flights are getting low, and as traveling on my own for such a long time not sure what the stopover airports are like.

Any help will be really helpful

Thanks Pam

Pamela. First of all, I wish i had a sister that was willing and able to travel half way around the world to surprise me on my birthday. You are not only brave but obviously very special too.
As far as stopovers are concerned, do you mean simple re-fuelling stops or a day or two somewhere? I am sure the recomendations will pour in for nice spote to break the journey.
My pennys worth would simply be to try and avoid Los Angeles (see LAX nightmares thread).
Good luck :clap

Hi Pamela,

I have flown Royal Brunei. They are not too bad. Good food and attentive crew. I took a 737 on a shorter route with them so no entertainment stuff on board. If you are flying from the UK, I bet it is a 747 or similar and might have some good entertainment to while away the hours.

Check out their website. I think you will be stopping over at Bandar Seri Begawan. The airport is clean and comfortable. If I am not wrong, the flight from Brunei to NZ stops somewhere in Australia.

From the UK to NZ on Royal Brunei is one hell of a long journey!

Cheers,
