Hi all

our img. agent removed qualifications pts from EOI and we are planning to go through assessment and he gave us until 28th nov.

from what I read it takes a long time to get the report , do you think I should contact NZQA and asK for a quick reply explaning the issue.

When applying for full assessment it is not clear if I should send the original + the certified copy. or I can send certified copies alone.

By the way is it safe to send original copy?

Do I have to send work testimonial as well .

i can't help with the query about assessment but did you ask the agent *why* they didn't accept the city and guilds?

Mauritius is not on the list of recognised zone so he needs to have the NZQA rating to allocate 50 points for qualifications.


without these pts we are reduced to 50 pts ( 20=qge and 30= work experience) and he gave us until 28nov or else we will be removed as we de not have monimum 100.

this means we wll have to pay again to resubmit EOI

was hoping that with NZQA will give us a receipt so as to prove that FA has been lodged and we will be given more time

The way I understand it from Sean and Judy is that you can pay for fast track (I think that's what it's called) but also you will want to write a polite but urgent note on the outside. (like "urgent, please expedite") I think it really depends on whether they are in a good mood that day...
Hope it goes ok, if it's just for EOI selection and not for ITA submission, can you just do the pre-assessment? We got our result in just a few days via e-mail. I don't know if that works for your situation, though.

You can get a preliminary assement of your quals from NZQA - only good for EOI use. However there have been some changes of late. The qualification list recognises G&G as level 3 and should receive 50 points BUT the list of acceptable trades requires a level 4 to get ANY points for many trades - including thise listed in the list of acceptable qualifications. I am afraid there is a bit of a contradiction but you need to check appendix 8 of the dull operations manual....
