There have been lots of good comments on this subject by Forum members, and you can find them by doing searches on whiteware and white goods:

If I had known then what I know now, personally I wouldn't have shipped my kids climing frame because getting a garden that's large and flat enough to put it in has been hard and I wouldn't have brought my washing machine. I love the top loader's I've used since being here, it's quicker, fits more in and handy for being able to add in that odd sock you missed.(But it's a matter of oppinion, some people don't like them). I didn't bring my dishwasher because it was fitted and lots of the houses we've looked at here have had them included. I've been suprised by the lack of freezers I've seen in houses. A few people have big freezers in their garage but most seem to make do with the little box in their fridge. Im glad I brought mine but you may need to thnk about a space to put it when you buy a house.
