After all the research, doubts, excitement, more doubts....me and the better half are off to London to take our ITA.

Then we wait for the decision, although I believe I will get asked to perform another liver test after one of my results came back slightly elevated. :uhoh

Thanks for all the posts covering every aspect of the process. We decided not to use an agent and we found everything we needed here, so thanks. :cheers

Does anyone know the current waiting time for PR applications with a job offer? I'll ask the question anyway today while I'm there...

If all goes well we should be going to NZ permanently in June 07. We have a recce trip in Feb (just to make sure!! and check out houses in Albany and jobs for the wife)

Hopefully we'll have an idea about the decision before Christmas (even if it means having another test) Although my Christmas will be a bit "Dry!!" :roll

Thanks once again for all the posts..... fab resource!! :nice1

Dave, let us know how you get on. We're hopefully sending ours in later this week. Just waiting for OH's medical report (should be here today/tomorrow).

Just got back from London.

(Noticed we got our EOI picked on the same date)

Really glad we took it in ourselves as it gives a chance to have a word with the guy that checks the paperwork. At least we know it was all present and correct. Plus we got to take our passports back which we need this weekend.

Really friendly staff too. We waited for about 15 minutes (we were third in the queue). Takes about 5-10 minutes, and gave us an indication that our paperwork will be allocated a case officer in about three days and we should hear soon (maybe two-three weeks) as we have a job offer and they are processed first.

Also got the chance to pick up some more brochures and pop into Air New Zealand to pre-book our seats for our trip in Feb.

The Waiting Begins!! :roll

Good luck with your application..

Good to hear all went well at NZ House. I am planning on going there too with all my paperwork for the same reasons as you (to ensure all completed correctly etc )
Good luck, lets hope its not too long before you hear anything.
Keep us posted.

Cheers Nettie,

Fingers crossed they arn't too bothered about my liver... I'm not.. you have to have some wear and tear after 41 years of abuse!! :p

Good luck with your application... Definately a good idea to take them yourselves if you an as it takes any worry about not having everything and it's an opportunity to ask a few questions too if you want to.

Cheers

Dave

Dave is this the test that counts the Gamma (something or other). OH's was up slightly - should be 40 and is 42.

Got his medical report back this morning. Just waiting for solicitor to ring me back as we asked for 2 certified copies of documents and they did 2 of the wedding certificate but only 1 of the others.

Oh.... he's just rung. Can pop them in anytime, so will be doing that shortly.

Unfortunately we will have to post the ITA as it's a bit of a long way from here. Still will, check, double check and triple check everything - probably about 6 times. ;)

Good luck with the application.

My liver results were the ALT and AST. the bad one was 116 (should be 1-50) but apparently thats only slightly over. 300-500 is considered dodgy.

Good luck with the application. I'll let you know how min progresses.
