Hi,

My names Jayne, I'm 41, currently living in the West Midlands, a Midwife by profession, and a huge Valentino Rossi fan..... My family and I are currently in the process of trying to gain PR, It's been a bit of a long drawn out process with medical referrals, but we are now beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. We are now hoping to gain PR within the next week or so! then it's just a small matter of trying to sell the house :roll .

I have a job in Auckland, and we are really hoping to be in NZ by Feb 07, hoping to catch the last bit of summer ;). Looking forward to sharing emigration thoughts and experiences, and hopefully gaining some useful info.

Cheers,

Jayne x

Hi Jayne,

Welcome!

We arrived in Auckland last February, and love it - I hope you will too - it has so much to offer.

Whereabouts in West Mids are you from? My hubby is from Shirley/Solihull.

Cheers

Hi there, glad to see you have a job sorted, there seems to be a shortage of midwives, so you will be a welcome sight for the maternity services! Where are you going to be working? I had our boy at Auckland City, and a majority of the midwives that I came into contact with were from the UK!

Hope everything goes well for the rest of PR application!

Wow, thanks for all your welcome messages! I've just finished a night shift and I'm sat here eating my well earned breakfast, reading your messages!

Lollypop, We are from Stourbridge which is South-West Midlands about 13 miles out of Birmingham, I'm sure your OH would know it.

Nienke - Not sure where we are going to live in Auckland yet. We are planning to rent initially and then see. Sal - I have a job at Auckland Women's in Grafton, which I think is where you had your baby. Sounds like it's going to be home from home with all those UK Midwives!

Diny - Hope your trip back to the UK was OK, thanks for the really kind offer, I will PM you.

Thanks again all, time for bed now!

Jayne
