Don't know which suburb of Wellington yet. Karori looks good but pricey, Johnsonville looks more affordable but would it mean needing 2 cars? We'd really just like one.

Hi to AndyDee and dangermouse - how old are you children dangermouse? William was 8 in June and Martha will be 6 next week - eek!

We really know very little about Wellington at this stage. Steve is a nurse so we could pretty much go anywhere but I need to be in a city with things going on around me. It's so comforting to know that there are so many more people out there going to the same place. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan.

Think we like the look of the Kapiti Coast - but since we havent done a reccy we are constantly looking at property and areas on the net.
Our kids are Sally 13, Jacob 10 and Lucy 16 months so schools are gonna play an important part in where we choose.
I would rather commute and be out of the city a bit - I think???

We are going over Late Jul 07. I have work in the city but will be commuting from Kapiti Coast, over the hill in Featherston, or maybe across the bay on the ferry. Will decide when we get there!

We'll be there Jan 1st. OH has a job lined up downtown & his employer is putting us up in a furnished apartment type place for up to a month while we try to find a dog-friendly rental . . . we'll see how it goes!

My wife, myself and 2 of our children Girl13, boy11 will be arriving in Wellington on Jan 15th, my daughter (20) at Uni will follow on after she has finished her degree in May. My other daughter (19) is not coming, she has a job and and boyfriend. I will be working at Hutt Hospital in Lowerr Hutt, my wife will look for work when we get there.
We havent decided exactly where in Wellington we will settle, need to look around first.

Yes, im a Mental Health Nurse and i will be starting work at the Mental Health Unit at Hutt Hospital, Pilmuir St. Lower Hutt. I will be start ing work on 29th Jan. Have you been offered a job yet? starting date.

Moreover, I am planning another Welly Rocks Meet Up for immigrants at the end of January, 2007. I will put a notice in the Meet Up section of this forum as soon as I have decided on date, time and venue.
