Anyone have any great suggestions on where we can buy decent corn tortillas in Auckland? Have found them in small packets (of five or so) for crazy high prices, but would love to know if they can be bought in bulk for cheaper.
Thank you!
Amy.

Can't help on buying, (still in the States), but I just bought a Mexican cookbook with some easy recipes for tortillas. Let me know if you want the recipe!

Yes they are a flamin rip-off.I luv them deep fried with sour cream with garlic in and a salsa on the side.We struggle buying Mango Chutney they are persistantly running out of the nicest available one in local supermarkets.I've had to drive 40k to get it when we've been desperate. We buy four jars at a time and it costs an arm and a leg.

Thank goodness for tortillas! Are they in fact tasty?
Their recipe section gave me some giggles, describing quesadillas as "Mexican style panini" and whatnot, hehe

yeah I like the "mexican lasagna"!! one thing for Mexican foodlovers, anyone find a source for authentic chili powder? the stuff they sell in the supermarkets is more like cayenne, not that lovely rich dark red powder we need for making chili and burritos.
