Hi Cagcagb,
Our EOI was selected on Sept 1 with 115 points. Two weeks later it changed to Decision Successful and then a week later went back to Selected. On Nov 17, it went to Successful again and got the ITA today.

wow shagen I'm so happy for you!
my eoi got selected sept. 15 and changed to decision successful last nov. 09. I have 105 points.
I really hope my ITA will arrive soon.
I wish you the best and I hope we get approved before the year ends so that we will still be covered by the three (3) year rquirement for citizenship :angel
I have some questions if you dont mind (i know your in cloud 9)
is your visa officer from bangkok?
you see im a lawyer but will not be claiming any points for that. would you know if they will still require me to submit documents pertaining to my law degree even if I am not claiming any points for them?

Hi Cathy,
I suggest you call Auckland NZIS to find out. We did and were glad we did. Their number is 64 9 9144 100. The computer system does act up and the people at NZIS in Auckland are very helpful.
The next hurdle now is to gather everything and send them off and pray that it is approved before the end of the year. Knowing that the holiday season is just round the corner, I am not holding my breath.
We submitted our EOI via a lawyer in Christchurch and so our case officer is in Chch.
With regards to your qualification, I am not too sure. I hold a Bachelor's degree from Australia and an MBA from the UK but the letter from NZIS only wanted me to provide proof of my MBA. I guess they ask for the highest qualification.
Cheers,

thanks for the information.
It must have cost you a considerable amount of money to seek a lawyer's assitance to lodge your EOI but it looks like it was worth your money. :nice1
And also lodging the EOI in nz is cheaper and wil also save up on the application fee.
Anyway, so despite not claiming points for your MBA, you were still required to submit the documents? And all the documents required are specifically indicated in the ITA?
If that's the case, I think they will do the same with me. I just hope I will be able secure all the documents at the earliest opportune time.
:hopeso
they said lodging in new zealand is slower but I dont think the same is true with your EOI.
