Hi All

Just getting together our ITA paperwork and I have 4 years of missing evidence for OH work experience evidence. Have emailed immigration and found out my guy has left, so have sent to main London email address.

So can any of you IT contractor tell what you gave as evidence I have invoices, bank statement, company house documents accountants letter. Nothing that say who he actually worked for, just the agency he invoiced. Will they accept these or shoud I start getting references from each company that he contracted for, for the last 10 years :no Most of the people he worked with have letf and moved on etc etc.

I am hoping that now he is working in NZ for the last 4 months and they are due to extend his contract that it is obvious that he has the skills and expereince. But I imagine that is not the case with immigration. Got until Feb to get it all together and this is the only bit apart form medicals (how long to process in NZ so we do not run out of time???) and police reports are due any minute to the Uk for my daughter to bring over.

I hope you have good news for me. Awaiting to hear if I have been succesful with 2nd interview and references.

I will be in the same boat, being a contract worker myself. My plan is to use copies of 1099 forms (these are US tax forms). These forms are sent to contractors every year and show the company's name and the amount of money they paid you. I'm also planning on using check stubs from these companies as well. Don't know if there is an equivalent for the UK.

I've worked for myself (contracting to clients) for 5 years - I am going to use accountants reports (we are a LLC and have used a CPA) as well as having a few of my long time clients write letters describing what I have done for them and having them notarized.

My general philosophy is "too much documentation is better than too little."
