We are due to move out next Jul (07) and my parents (retired but both early 60s) have looked into moving out. They immediately came up against the "being too old" category. Whilst they can move out to join us once we are citizens (after 5 years) I think they would like to move out earlier. (my fear is that in 5-6 years times they will think themselves too old)

Are there any others in the same situation, but whose parents HAVE moved out to join them. Any hits or tips around the problem?

you don't need citizenship to sponsor them but you do need to have lived as residents in NZ for 3 years. in the meantime if you are coming from the uk (your profile doesn't say) they can spend up to 6 months a year with you as visitors.
