Hello, I presently live in Perth Australia and am looking to move over to New Zealand upon completion of my degree in 2007. The only city I have any desire to move to is, Wellington and was wondering the accessibility of getting a graduate job. I will have completed a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and Journalism) from Notre Dame University Australia.

I would like to get into the politics careers.

Any information on the demand for graduates and the sort of pay likely to be received would be greatly appreciated.

As far as demand for entry-level employees in Government Administration, your best be would probably be to start by contacting Kiwi Careers (http://www.kiwicareers.govt.nz/).

Regarding average salaries, you can click on the job title closest to what you're seeking from the list here:

The information wasn't as hopeful as I was expecting. Nevertheless I am not ready to give up on getting a graduate job.
