Hi Everyone
Oh and I have been here for a little over a month now, but I'm not able to use my UK-bought phone. It's a Siemens CL75, and I can't find anybody that can unlock it so that I can use it here in NZ.
Does anybody know of someone in Auckland that will be able to unlock a Siemens?
Cheers!

Which network were you on in the UK, and was it contract or pay as you go? I was with T-Mobile(contract) back home and contacted them when we got here. All i had to do was pay a £15 fee to get it unlocked. It takes a few days but they will email you with the info, but as i say depends who you were with. Also if you were pay as you go with Vodaphone then drop into a Vodaphone shop and ask there, as someone we know did exactly that and within 2 mins it was unlocked.

Have you been into the phone shops in Queen St and asked them? Is it because of the make?
OH got his unlocked at a place that did repairs in Queen St - took 24 hours and cost $50 but his is a Samsung.
Note to anyone coming over here - get your phone unlocked before you come. It would have only cost us £5 to get it done in London.

Hi,
I recent unlocked 2 samsung phones (they were locked to orange). Just went on ebay, did a search for the make & model of my phones and added 'unlock'. I was sent the unlocking codes with full instructions via email for 99p.
It was really easy to do it myself.
Hope this helps.

Thanks you guys, this is great - I'll definitely give it a go!
I went to the "Cool" phones shop in Queen street (close to Borders) and they said that they had never seen my phone before (it's a limited edition Poppy). I was with Virgin pay-as-you-go.
I'll definitely try to contact Virgin and see if they'll help me! Vodafone here was singularly UNhelpful.
If anybody has been to a different unlocking shop in Queen Street, please send me the shop's name - I'd prefer to just go there and have it done there and then!
Cheers again All - you're great! :nice1
