i know im leaving it fairly late but i REALLY want a real xmas tree..and ive no idea where to find one in welly. have had a drive round to places where i thought they might be sold (petrol stations etc) but to no avail!
im in miramar if thats any use..

you need to just drive round and look for signs on the side of the roads. i think we saw some in aro valley heading up towards kelburn yesterday?

Sorry can't help with Wellington, but just to say if its anything like here in Auckland you won't have left it too late. I saw 4 homemade signs at the weekend and received 2 leaflets all advertising Christmas trees.

It looks like a lot of the locals use it as chance to earn a bit of extra money for Xmas. There's even one lady sitting outside on her sofa, on the way back from school, she had Christmas music blaring out and about 30 trees in her front garden - first Christmassy thing I've seen, other than shop decorations.

We just need to check our 100% plastic one survived the journey over here. Its gigantic, we made the mistake of buying it from a B&Q warehouse, where it looked a lot smaller!

The Aro Valley community centre is the place I know of, but there are plenty around.

you can find some in Aro Valley, Burma rd Khandallah at civic video and also at onslow school, just need to have a drive around and keep your eyes open for the signs, good luck
