Hi Sue,
I'm afraid I can't help you there - having been in NZ for a while, I didn't have those conditions imposed on me.
I think you were one of the first on this forum to get PR through the new system, so you're a bit of a trailblazer for us all. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
Cheers,
Evelynne

Hi
just thought I'd update you re 18 a conditions..... Well, I am now a free woman - can work for who I like, where I like and in what ever job I choose! Provided employment proof to my case officer last week - just 2 letters from both mine and husband's employer saying we had both worked for 30 hours for 3 months. A note was added to our files - that was it! Apparently, the 18a conditions should have been stamped in my passport with my residence visa but never was ?? The case officer mumbled something about she didn't think I was subject to conditions as it wasn't in my passport! I looked at her in disbelief, thinking " you mean I stayed in the' job from hell' for 3 months when I didn't have to....."
Oh well, done now - ooh the sense of freedom ...I can change careers now! Might do that actually as I have said before on this forum, nursing in NZ has proved to be a huge disappointment....

Hi Susan,
Good to hear you're now a free woman, and able to leave the job from hell.
I can totally sympathise with you. I had to stick my job from hell for a year (was on work permit) while NZIS got to grips with the new system. I didn't have any restrictions imposed on my PR, so within three weeks of obtaining that magic sticker, I had found myself a new job and resigned.
I know you were feeling a bit down for a while, so let me assure you that things do look MUCH better once you're in a more convivial work environment.
Good luck.
Evelynne
