Here's something interesting I read on NZ Herald...
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/11/story.cfm?c_id=11&objectid=10415599
Not sure how long the story will be there but it basically says Jan and Feb are the hottest months for employment advertising...What do you reckon guys? From what I gather so far, I thought Jan was pretty quiet....hmnnn..

have to agree with you there, as we came in last Nov, and talk about trying to secure employment between end Nov and Feb was job in itself.

Thanks guys. In that case, maybe I fall back on Jo's advice in another thread...send in my resume first end Jan then come over end Feb! :P :)

Hi Zippygoblet ( great name!! )
I was with a recruitment agent in Auckland yesterday and she was saying the January thing in the Herald is a massive thing, all recruitment specialists need to be in it and it's kind of the start of "proper" recruiting after Christmas.

Hi Gil,
Just came back to the office and saw your msg! Thanks, blame it on those crazy uni days about the nick :P
So it is true? Bummer...err what do you mean they 'need' to be on it? In the sense that if they don't advertise in the herald in Jan, they lose out to hiring a good potential employee? So that means, most kiwis look at the Herald papers for jobs in Jan? Sorry me a bit blur...:P
thanks!

Hi guys
I found this (http://tvnz.co.nz/cda/tvnz/video_popup_windows_skin/961989?bandwidth=128k) article (I assume that it is current and from today) and thought I'd post it for the forum's information.
Open to discussion... :nice1
