Hi all,

After nine gruelling and stressful months of going back and forth with (yet more !) additional information with regards to my medical situation, today we received the wonderful "Approved in Principal" E-mail, WE FINALLY HAVE PR !!! I cannot believe it, my head is spinning....

Thanx to all for the support and the huge amount of incredibly useful info to be found on this wonderful forum, you guys are the greatest !!

Hello again all,

Thank you so much for all your well wishes and most of all.... the dancing banana's !! How important those :raebanana 's had become over the last difficult months and now, here they are ! Still can't quite get my head around it !

Recently I had truly wondered whether, if and when the time finally did come, I would still be able to be spontaneously happy about it, since it had all been so unsure and long in coming. Found myself going to pick up my new passport yesterday with a big foolish grin :D on my face when the thought struck me that I'm now a NZ resident ! Apparently I needn't have worried :laugh ...

Anyway, I have indeed been basking in this wonderful feeling and to be honest, in between the stress of getting everything arranged at such short notice, still am ! At the time I didn't think it would last this long either ;) !

bpk: in our case it took so long because we had some.. what shall we call them ? Medical 'disagreements' with the Medical Assessors regarding my health. In the end I was given a Medical Waiver. Definitely not an easy road, but we held on for dear life and now, here we are, dancing banana's and all !!

Once again, thanx to all of you for your warm response. A very Merry Christmas to everyone and have a fantastic New Year !
