We're trying to decide whether to take Peter to the Bob the Builder & Barney stage show (the things you do for your kids :roll ) at Skycity or at the Bruce Mason Center. We haven't been to either venue before. We live in central Auckland, so Skycity is closer, but I've heard that parking there is very expensive. (Our bus to the city doesn't go close enough to Skycity for Peter to walk from the bustop.) Has anyone been to either place and have any advice?
thanks

Bruce Mason Centre is good (we took the kids to see the Hare and the Tortoise last school hols). Parking is next door and doesn't cost too much. I haven't been to the Skycity theatre but it's probably really nice - but parking is excessively expensive! I was shocked at the parking prices:eek: . Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

There is a free bus that goes to SkyCity. It runs in a loop around the city and stops outside the main SkyTower, so is only a few paces from the theatre round the corner.
Details of the bus and the route are here:

The main prob is that it stops running at 6pm, so may not be much use if you are going to an evening show rather than a matinee.
There is free on street parking around the back streets after 6pm.
