Hi
I wonder if anyone knows what the current waiting time is ?
Our eoi was selected from the pool with 140 points in August this year but we still haven't heard anything ..... I thought they had to reply within 3 months but this can't be the case as we have been waiting for nearly 5 months.

Have we been forgotten or is this normal ?

Any advise would be appreciated, has anyone else been selected and still waiting ?

Thanks
Deb

That sounds might odd to me - We're not going down the IOE, but from what I've heard, you should have had some sort of contact.

Was it only the website that you saw it was selected? Perhaps further contact was lost in the post or thru the email system?

Do you have a case number? If so, I'd ring NZHouse in London after the holidays and chase this up.

Deb,

Sorry you are having to wait so long..geeze, I don't understand the delay!!

We were selected in November, and just 2-3 weeks later the NZIS site said "decision successful" and not long after that, we go the ITA by registered mail!

Have you logged on the NZIS site (same place you submitted EOI) to see if you have been marked "decision successful"? If you have, your ITA should have already been "in the mail." If you have not, they are probably still going over the information on your EOI, but agreeably, this is a ridiculous amount of time!! I would either email NZIS or whichever branch your paperwork will be allocated to (sorry, don't recall where you currently reside). We are in the US, so I would contact the London branch, for example. I've read on this site that most people hear back pretty fast about things in that regard.

I think after five months, you have every right to call or write someone about this delay.

So, take matters into your own hands and seek information.

Hope you get some good news soon.

Hi
Just to add to above comments you definetly should have heard something, give them a ring or check on line again and check status has not changed or a message left for you. Good luck.

I have been waiting about 5 weeks since my EOI was "selected". Looking at other people's timelines, most people seem to get a "decision successful" within a couple months. You probably need to find out what is going on with yours.

As you can see from my signature, our ITA took just days short of 3 months to arrive but we were advised it could have taken up to 4 months. I would definitely give NZIS a ring in the New Year when they open again.
