My youngest daughter (18) is on my EOI as not coming to NZ.
Now she is having second thoughts about staying behind in the US for college.
I should have known this could happen.
Is there any way to add her to the ITA in case she decides to come with us, (we'll submit ITA in March) or is it already too late for that? I think she's just having cold feet because she's waiting for college acceptance letters, but still, this is one more thing to drive me nuts. :uhoh

Hi, don't think there is any need to worry. When I got my ITA, even though all of mine were on my EOI there was a section asking for details of any children "left off" that I wanted to include.

I found it! Thanks, Alan, that is a relief.
She and I need to have a serious discussion about this. I would like to send her info with the ITA in case she doesn't get accepted to the college she's hoping for; she is being wishy washy on deciding only because she hasn't heard from Admissions yet. At least now I know that she and I have more time to talk about this.
I have another question for anyone who wants to tackle it:
With the ITA, there is a booklet called "Application for Residence Guide" and it talks about showing applicants how to "fill out the form fully and correctly."
Hmmm...maybe I'm dense, but are they referring to the packet of materials stapled with the checklist (which is basically the EOI printed off)??
If that is the case, the "form" is already filled out except for a few things here and there, right?
The reason I ask this is I found an "Application for Residence" form on the NZIS website that made me wonder if something was left out of my ITA packet.
Thanks,
Christine

Hi Christine,
As far as I know the ITA is the printed EOI form. Mine is personalised though, it tells me in bold just what is needed or not in my case. For example what I needed to do re my qualifications was explained.
The booklet is just a reference to check everything is correct.
One of my children (18yrs) is unsure of coming with us. We've told him it's his decision and he will be included on our application so he can leave it to the last minute, or even later to decide. He knows he won't lose his British passport so can return if he doesn't like it. I'm hoping it's just a display of power, he was stunned when we didn't abandon all plans because he might not want to go. We are a family of six, and five are 100% in favour. I'm sure many with grown families have been through this.
Our way to deal with this is just to include him as though he is going, if he doesn't it's just a few hundred pounds thrown away. Trying to get a firm decision off him at this stage wouldn't work.
