I know I should probably know this, but can someone please tell me what foodstuffs can be brought into the country without too many problems? My dad is coming over in a couple of weeks and he has asked whether there is anything that we would like brought out - to be honest the only things we can really think of are a HUGE jar of proper UK Marmite (the tiny jars of Our Mate from the supermarket here are just too tiny!!), big bags of Revels, Yorkshire tea bags, Aquafresh toothpaste - would any of those create a problem at customs, obviously we would tell him over and over again that he has to declare them!! :laugh

I whinge constantly about the lack of choice in the supermarkets here yet when I'm given an opprtunity to write a shopping list from UK supermarket my head turns to mush!! :laugh

They all look OK, as they are processed food items, and as long as they are sealed then should be no probs, just tell him to read the customs form well, and ask if in doubt at all.
