Although we have been in NZ all of 5 weeks, after arriving initially with very little,as we most do/did - we have amassed quite a number of possesions -furniture wise and no longer need daily use of temporary items such as sleeping bags, air beds, travel kettle etc - i wonder if any one thinks it a good idea to offer items like these on the forum for loan to other 'newies' until they get sorted - obviously to people in the nearby (ish) vicinity?

good/daft idea?

Dunno how anyone else feels, but that sounds like a great idea to me [esp as I'm not yet there myself.

I'm sure a reasonable weekly rate would cover the wear and tear factor, and surely help out people who mightn't be able to easily buy [or even find!] themselves these items when first landing [carless, and toting only suitcases for the first month or so]

Thee has been a similar thing suggested in the past, maybe it is time for an official board on here???? Over to you Douglas....
