Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask if any of you know of any short-term furnished accommodation in the Auckland East Coast Bays area (ish) from 28th Feb 2007 for 2 weeks or so. Ideally we would love to be near the beach and have 4 bed and 2 baths.

On a longer term basis we are looking for funished accommodation in the same area, but ideally with a granny annex.

Any help would be greatfully received.

Thanks,

Tim & Lisa ;)

Hi Tim and Lisa

I can't help you on the rental front I'm afraid.

But please do give me a shout when you get to the north Shore.

All the best.

try looking for holiday bachs or cribs through a search engine (in other words google it). you might be lucky as at that time the schools will be back and there may be some that are vacant.

When we booked our short term accommodation we did a combination of holiday apartments, last minute hotel deals and a self contained apartment in someone's house. As a result we collected quite a lot of links, here are some:

Just another thought, many of the locals with holiday accommodation advertise in the information centres, some in the form of leaflets others on a list you have to ask for.

See this link for cantact details:

www.totaltravel.co.nz/travel/new-zealand/auckland/auckland-surrounds/directory/touristinfo

www.newzealand.com/travel/i-sites/i-sites_home.cfm

www.tourismnewzealand.com/tourism_info/industry-resources/marketing-your-product/i-site-visitors-centres.cfm

Even if they aren't of use before you go, do pop in when you arrive, they have all sorts of local information (accommodation, schools, taxis, tours, transport etc).

Any luck finding somewhere yet?

Cheers

Tia

Emailed a whole bunch of contacts, some have come back saying they are not available, some are just plain daft prices (not being in Richard Branson's league..), but one or two are available, so just finalising details.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Cheers,

Tim :cheers
