I realize that the necessary documents for application can be downloaded - but I have made a mess of every download I've ever tried. Have any of you dealt with what I call a broker? That's a person/firm that completes the paperwork with and for you, knows the best way to phrase things, handles the submission etc..
Any tales of triumph (or woe) will be welcomed by this newbie from New England.

Hi Dazzlr,
Not sure about a broker but we are using an immigration lawyer in Christchurch for our migration and have found him to be very good. He fills everything up for us and does the submission as well and all we had to do was sign on the dotted lines.
The upside I think is that the fees are cheaper since it is filed in New Zeland as opposed to higher fees if you did it from outside NZ. The downside is the hassle and the couriers between you and the lawyer.
Cheers,
