I can't believe that the estate agents have only opened today after being closed all over Christmas and we already have another 2 viewers for our bungalow.
Apart from the 2-3 weeks over Christmas the housing market here in Dunfermline seems to be quite strong. Our problem is we are situated next to a pylon (they are difficult to avoid up here) but of course our brochure photo doesn't show the pylon, for obvious reasons. So some of the viewers we are getting are put off before they walk through the door. :no Apart from the pylon we have had really good positive feedback and our agents contact us within a day or two with that feedback. So far we have received excellent service from them. Long may it continue.
Please keep your fingers crossed for us.
For anyone wanting a nosey here's our bungalow.

Everything's crossed for you. It sounds like you've got a good agent there, so keep them sweet.
Our house has been for let since the end of November and we've only had three people round, but no takers. The last one was on the Saturday before Christmas. I had to remind the agent, today, that we were still awaiting feedback... :uhoh
Good luck to you and I hope that it all works out.

Hi,
I too have everything crossed for you - It is such a stressful time. Hopefully the right person will come through the door really soon.
Good luck

Hi Paula
We're about to put our house on the market but keep finding new areas of damp and mould, most of which have appeared over the last month due, I'm in no doubt, to the particularly heavy rain we've had. It's so depressing and I cannot help but think it's going to be a long struggle to sell...
But good luck with your house selling - let us know how you get on. Remember the big picture!
Best wishes,

It looks lovely. Can't imagine it taking too long to sell. My step-mother is a para-legal in Edinburgh and deals with house sales, she says this time of year is normally busy.
Not looking forward to selling our house..... we love it. Just getting it decorated and nearly there......... all for someone else :o( On the plus side we've actually had 4 people ask us if it is up for sale [one just after we'd moved in] so fingers crossed it sells quickly!

Thanks for all your good positive vibes. We've now had a third offer from a couple that put in 2 very low offers before Christmas. Unfortunately it is still way too low - the agents think they are just trying it on thinking that because we are emigrating that we must be desperate! :no However, they have sold their house and need to be out by 15th Feb so they could well find themselves homeless.
StevieD: I hope things develop in the way you want. ;) Chickens, no don't want any of them around the place. :laugh
P.S. If anyone wants to check and see what properties in and around your street/area then the link below allows you to search for free. It can sometimes be a little slow but persevere, it does work. The only downside is that properties are only listed that have been sold since 2000. http://www.nethouseprices.com/
