Houses just in between Lyletton and Guvernors Bay.....can remember the name of the place. You can see how spaced out everything is.

Is that really a picture from the town centre in the middle of the day? Seems like heaven. I've just been into town and it was mobbed. Do people say thank you when you hold doors open for them when in town? I seem to be getting very irritable about this at the moment as I really can't stand bad manners.

Nice pics....
Can I just say though, you have made my life more difficult, before looking at those I had decided that I didn't care where in NZ we settled, now I definately want to be near Christchurch!!!
Can someone please post some pics from around Wellie that look as good as these?

In a Conde Nast travel magazine poll, readers voted Queenstown as the top town in New Zealand, followed by Christchurch. They were the third and fourth picks for a visit to Australasia after Sydney and Melbourne. Wellington was in fifth spot. Auckland – the self-proclaimed City of Sails – was not even mentioned in the United States poll, taken late last year. Neither was Rotorua, for many years thought of as part of the visitor triangle that includes Queenstown and Auckland.
"Please allow me to introduce myself,
Im a man of wealth and taste..." lyrics from Sympathy For The Devil Rolling Stones
If you have impeccable (incapable of sin) taste
Rotorua is not bad, if you like sulpher in the air and the the smell of smelly eggs.
If you have a few $ million in your bank account I would recommend Queenstown too... the fast growing territorial authority in Nz in terms of property growth (houses being built in NZ) and the most expensive, it would be easily rank in the top 5 for most expensive areas in NZ.
