I wanted to make some Nanaimo bars for Christmas but was unable to find graham crackers. They don't seem to exist in NZ, does anyone know a substitute to help make a crust out of the crumbs?
I had trouble making Nanaimo bars in the states as you can't get custard powder there. I was so excited to find custard powder here, but no graham cracker crumbs. :(

I haven't personally tried yet, but my MIL recommends malt biscuits as a good substitute for crusts. I got a big box of graham crackers in my Christmas box from the US!
