I found a wonderful website that has more information on the Maori language than any other place I have found.

I know there are rules here about promoting web sites, etc., but I hope it is Ok to post this one since it is something we all need to know. The site has videos of people speaking the Maori language, so you can both hear and see what a word or phrase should be like. There is even a dictionary, a set of word and phrase drills, and other resources.

that's a cool site! Wow there isn't much difference between "father" and "earth" the way it's pronounced in Maori, is there? I wish it had a pronunciation guide where you could punch in the word and have it said in Maori, then maybe I could get some town names right! :o

Great! This is just what I've been looking for!
