Can anyone tell me if you need an accompanying UK prescription or letter from doctor when bringing out asthma inhalers to NZ (ie coming through customs, etc at airport).

My son 5 has to have a preventer (brown inhaler) once a day, although he may be coming off it soon, but I do not want to come out to NZ without it just in case the symptoms start again.

Don't know if this sort of medicine is exempted??

My eldest son has to have both brown and blue inhalers. We've travelled back and forth between UK and NZ on loads of occasions and never had any trouble. never even been asked about them or had them looked at. I'm sure you'll be OK.
