Guys,

As a birthday treat yesterday, my wife took us to Varekai at the showgrounds in Auckland. Seen all the hype on TV but that just didn't prepare us for such a great night out.

It is so visually stimulating, with something always happening on stage. The acrobatics and gymnastics were simply amazing! Apparently it is based around a story, but that pales into the background when they start performing!

It is a bit on the commercial side, but ignore that and just let yourself sink into the experience!

Well worth the $$ if you can afford it as a treat :nice1:nice1

Oh I'm so excited!

We're coming up to see it in Feb as a surprise for MIL while they are here from UK.

She's always wanted to see CduS and so have I but I always seemed to have missed for one reason or another, so this time have just taken the bull by the horns!

What seats did you have Neil? I've gone for the basic seats but they seem in a good position.

I did think about getting those red tickets and driving up, but for time saving I've got the cheaper tickets and spent the money on airfares. Big gulp at the $$$$$, but it's going to be worth it to see the surprise on her face. :clap

On the commercial side, I've heard they sell clothes and bags. YAY! ;)

Yep - we just had the basic tickets, but got them when they were first available, so we Row E just off the centre. In my opinion, the first 2 rows were too close to the stage and would have missed some of the wider view.

The VIP/Red Ticket thing looked OK, but to be honest not really worth it from what we could see.

Hope you all enjoy it!

Ive seen them twice in the UK, but it looks like we wont be able to go to Varekai.

Absolutely love going to see them and would definately recommend.

Yes, they are terrific! We saw O and Mystere in Vegas. O is still my favorite thing I've ever seen onstage.

Thanks Neil :nice1. I've checked and we're row H. I'd thought being too far down would be difficult to see it all or give us stiff necks, so I chose that one specifically.

I can't wait now. :D

Jess I'd also like to see Love, but it meant going back to Vegas I think, so that's out then, until it comes nearer. :clap
