Well to cut a long story short my partner got offered a position in NZ but had to turn it down :( as timing was not right we have to wait until jan 2008. You know how things are, do you think we should have gone and jumped at the oppurtunity as obviously with a job offer we would have got loads of points and easily would have got in.
Basically do you think we have looked a gift horse in the mouth and not taking advantage of the oppurtunity? I do hope we do not live to regret it. :no

It is a loaded question. But more importantly, Never cry over spilled milk and don't cross a bridge till you come to it. Why worry about a past event that is not going to return. If you think it is good for you and your family then by all means go for the opportunity if and when it comes to you again. Life is too short for regrets and guilts. Best Regards

Hi jewelsvani,
One of the things that I try to live by is not to have regrets. I believe we do the best thing we can at the time, taking everything into account. To quote Robbie Williams "No, regrets, they don't work". I know people who have nursed regrets for years and it just serves to make them bitter about the thing.
Feel comfortable that you have done the right thing for yourselves in your position at this time and look forwrad to Jan 08,
All the best,
gil
PS I think I'm saying what stu just said!

I think it'd of been worse for you to of gone to NZ not being prepared compared to being all ready for 2008. Emigrating is a big thing and you definitely need to be 100% sure and do things at your own pace so you don't become overwhelmed and potentially make yourself ill!
Good things come to those who wait.

Have to agree with Leachie comments above. This is one BIG move and you really can't take it lightly. You have to have the right mindset to do this, and if you aren't comfortable with the timeframe then yes you have done the right thing. Am sure another offer will come along, which you will be more comfortable with.
Good luckwith it all
Kim
